Theft in the harbor
Be on the lookout, there are two characters who are prowling and breaking into the boats in the harbor. They tried unsuccesfully to enter a boat last night, Monday, January 25, at 8:45 p.m. Fortunately one of them was captured on a camera. If you recognize him, please contact the commandante of Luperon Harbor, he has been notified of the incident. They also tried to break into the same vessel on the 25th of December.

A wind generator was taken from the boat Restless recently and a solar panel was taken from Jerome's boat while at the dock at Tropical Marina.

A couple of people in a row boat (locals) have taking lines off boats and even cutting the jib sheets.

A boat was broken into today between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00pm. A computer was stolen but the case and power supply were left behind.

A boat was broken into at the Yacht Club last night. Some items were taken.

Two other boats were broken into also. I think a few thousand dollars was taken. All by the Yacht Club.

Theft in the harbor
On Wednesday morning, I did the Dominican Dance of reporting the breakin and theft of my laptop from my sailboat. Saw and talked to the Comondante; the Navy; Touristo Police; Luperon police, National police. Everyone was polite and sympathetic.
I also let it be known to the locals that I would give a reward of $150 for return of the laptop.
Time will tell

Someone is stealing dinghy painters. I don't know if it is a joke but a dinghy was found floating in the harbour the other morning having had its painter taken in the night when at the muelle. Another dinghy had theirs taken when tied to the boat.
