If you want to enjoy the internet at speeds never thought possible use Claro. This is the countries main supplier. You can spend one hour to download a 3 min video from U tube.

I used Alexander's yesterday and I was getting 100kbs. That is about 10 times faster than my Claro. At least Claro runs everyday and doesnt break down when a storm goes past.

Claro and 'Blue Light" With your Claro disconnected, go to Tools/Options and set the preferred service to WCDMA preferred. That should give you steady, regular service. D

Claro has been so bad this last week that I would not recommend anyone going with them.

I've had a Claro card for a year and half and it works GREAT!  During the Haiti earthquake crisis, things were slow, but my speeds are screaming fast anywhere in Luperon, about 90% of the time.  I noticed on your General Info page you say it doesn't work fast in town, was either a temporary thing or a computer issue.  I highly recommend Claro.

Claro has just finished transferring its signal from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata. We have high speed (ish) at last. I wonder how long this will last.

My Claro contract runs out this month. Has anybody got any suggestions who is good? I haven't heard anything about Orange.

I live on a boat so the options aren't numerous. I have stuck with Claro because it is dependable; it doesn't go down for days at a time.

Claro slowed down for about the last 2 weeks or so but is back up to speed. It has been overall very good, especially once it speeded up to blue light speed about 5-6 months ago.

Like Mike, my contract expires soon. Alex I hear , is about half price, but how reliable? all night, or does he still shut down ~2-5 for maintenance?  Does he short r long spells of problems and down time?  Can anyone quantify his speed and service????????
